According to SteelOrbis, based on the export data from the US Department of Commerce, the volume of US oil country tubular goods (OCTG) pipe exports in May 2026 reached 7,607 tons, indicating a 39.6% decrease compared to April. Additionally, this figure shows a 48.4% decline compared to May 2025.
In terms of dollar value, OCTG exports in May reached $21.08 million. This is while the export value in the previous month was $30.76 million and in the same month in 2025, it was estimated at $29.19 million.
Examining the export destinations, Canada was the primary destination for US OCTG pipes in May, receiving 5,031 tons. This amount shows a significant decrease compared to 8,767 tons in April and 11,112 tons in May 2025. Notably, in May, no other destination recorded exports of 1,000 tons or more.
